A poco a poco

Volevo sai restar per sempre

al tuo cospetto

a rimirar quegli occhi di velluto

brillanti di sol luce e di candore

da far arrossare il viso di passione.
Ma venne poi del tempo

il suo congedo

e il gran desio implose

fino a far male

Nell’aria rintoccarono le ore

il sole tramonto’ per sempre

sul mio amore.

Triste destino

che illudi e ti ritrai

lasciandomi cosi

crudele gioco

nel mezzo del cammino mentre mi perdo

e sempre più affondo

a poco a poco…

Little by little

I wanted to stay forever in front of you to gaze

at those velvet eyes brilliant with sun light and candor

to make the face flush with passion.

But then came the time his leave

and the great desire imploded until it hurts

The hours struck in the air

the sun sets forever on my love.

Sad fate that you delude

and withdraw leaving me like this

cruel game in the middle of the road while

I get lost and deeper and deeper little by little…
